"Fouad is not a Criminal: Purge" is a photographic project that questions the complex notion of "home" for asylum seekers in Switzerland, which is less visible than sensitive. An approach to represent these dreams, their path and stories on this territory of passage and identity transition.
This project is an attempt to juxtapose different narrative processes. The stories that I have been able to hear, listen to during my meetings with migrants and the Swiss international institutional structures that do not align with the precarious realities that can be found and felt locally.
And finally, it’s also about personal and artistic questions: What social and political value in capturing and crystallizing these dreams? How far can the photographic process represent the invisible, or rather the unattainable, socially speaking? Can capturing transmit the moving symbols of an ideal, a dream, a fantasy?
